My Painting workshops teach the classical approaches to painting the landscape outdoors. Leaving the studio to get back in touch with nature is so important in creating landscape paintings that feel authentic. I have chosen several exciting places to visit and paint. Keep in Mind
* Students will need to find transportation to the workshop site. Maps will be provided. Students are responsible for providing their own meals and lodging. There are camping facilities nearby most of our workshop locations. For those who want to embrace the full outdoor adventure. Students will bring their own Plein Air painting supplies and easel . A list of supplies and other information is below.*
*To take these workshops you need some painting experience. These workshops are for beginning intermediate and advanced students plein air painting students.
Beg. Plein Air beginning student definition- This means the student understands the fundamentals of oil painting. These are not workshops to take if you have never painted before. By the fundamentals I mean that you have taken some oil painting classes and understand the basics of how to mix colors, how oil paint behaves, and have completed at least a couple of finished paintings.
