Who Doesn’t Enjoy Painting?
In my painting workshops remember the joy of painting. I remember as a child covered in paint almost to the elbows with blue tempera paint. I was in first grade and we were doing finger painting. I love being covered in color and also making colorful marks on the paper. The slick feel of the paint under my fingers was exciting and even magical. Maybe you painted with watercolors as a child or had a oil painting kit or a paint by numbers kit. As children there was something fascinating about painting. It was just so much fun. I believe painting should be fun. I try to make my paintings fun. I try not get so critical that my painting loses that joy. Because feeling is what you want to come through when you touch brush to paper or canvas. I love to paint and I enjoy teaching others about painting.
In my mini Plein Air (painting outdoors) Painting Classes you can hone you landscape painting skills while visiting wonderful locations around Arizona. These painting workshops run mostly in the Fall through the Spring avoiding the heat of the Summer Months. These classes are for those painters who have landscape painting experience and want to sample plein air painting or plein air painters that want to further their skills and receive feedback from a professional artist.
If would like to learn more about plein air painting fundamentals check out my 3 to 5 day outdoor painting workshops.
